Manifesting - Create Your Own RealityBy (based on text by Richard Mark-Coates)I've experimented with conscious manifesting techniquesfor 13 years now.For 5 years I have taught others the tools that I myselfhave learned in a course called 'Manifesting Results'.Some people come to the course with a preconception thatI'm going to teach them how to manifest. The bad news is that I'm not going to do that. The good news is that you already DO manifest everythingin your life. You always have.Since we all already create our own realities, what we doin the course is slow down the creative process and learnhow this is done, in order to understand the principalsbehind and in so doing adjust things and create somethingdifferent. We create our reality from our Thoughts, Feelings, Choicesand Beliefs.Lets explore each of these:THOUGHTSYour unconscious mind works in the same manner as arefrigerator.A refrigerator cannot tell the truth from a lie, has nosense of humor, always works in present time, alwaysaccepts what comes in and simply agrees and says, "YES".Throughout your life your fridge has been faithfullystoring information.Whenever any of your senses picked up a message that youare a good person or a loveable person, your fridge openedits door, said, "YES" and stored it away.Of course, any time that you picked up that you were a badperson, unworthy or unlovable, your fridge just says,"YES" and stores it away. You therefore have, a lot of stored data, and your self-image as well as your self-esteem are based on thisinformation.Studies show that 80% of all the input we receive as kidsis negative ("don't do this", "that is bad").Remembering that a child is like a sponge and he or shereceives and believes anything that is said to him or her, there's little wonder why we end up in a society of peoplewho's belief systems are made up of "I am not goodenough", "I don't deserve", "I'll fuck it up", etc...So, what to do?How about balancing some of the negative information, withsomething positive? How about utilizing positive affirmations?I know that for many, affirmations work, whilst othersjust get bored with them. There is a way however, to use them with powerful results,as long as we employ the power of our feelings. But before jumping to our feelings, we need to remember afew basics:1. Repeat the thought over and over again. You have spent years filling up your fridge with garbage. Do you really expect that a few days of positive affirmations would balance it out?2. Use present tense.

"I will earn a million next year" doesn't work. Tomorrow never comes.3. Use positive terms. "I quit overeating" puts the weight on the overeating. Make it instead: "I eat only what my body needs"FEELINGSIt has been said: "Thoughts create and feelings bringalive."It is as if your thoughts are the plan on paper and yourfeelings bring it into 3-dimensional reality. If you really want something in your life, let yourexcitement be there.

Tell the world. You deserve it.Fear is the same energy as excitement. If you lean away from something, you get fear.If you lean towards it, you get excitement. If you stand in front of your mirror every morningwhispering shyly to yourself "I am beautiful, loveable, successful human being" it might take forever until youbelieve it.Instead, sing it loudly to yourself or shout it whiledriving the car (making sure that your windows are closed)CHOICES OR DECISIONSMany people don't manifest what they want, because theyare not willing to choose. They are so scared to make amistake that they never move."What should I be - a doctor or a lawyer?""Shall I marry him/her or shall I not?"Sound familiar? The universe responds to your moves. When you make a choice and move, the universe eitherresponds in "BRAVO" or in "OOPS, TRY AGAIN".But if you don't make a move, you'll never know.Life is pretty much like driving a car. When you're driving you make decisions all the time, youget feedback all the time and you make new decisions basedon that feedback. You go round a curve too fast, the tires scream, oh boy,too fast, slow down...As you drive to work in the morning, you have takenhundreds of risks and made hundreds of decisions, withoutthinking too much about it.This is how powerful the gift of feedback is.We make decisions and then get the response. An interesting fact about feedback is that when we receiveit from others we don't like it. We feel criticized.Life is an adventure. If we had the map already written and memorized, whatwould be the point of taking the journey?BELIEFSYour beliefs determine your reality in much the same wayas your thoughts do.However, their power is bigger as their source comes fromthe past and is well hidden in this fridge we call theunconscious mind. When I began to really look at my beliefs, some of themwere: "men are stupid", "I have to work hard for mymoney", "I'm lazy" and "I can't fly". And, of course, theone that kept all the others in place is: "I believe thatmy beliefs are difficult to change".If I could just change this last one, then I could changethe others quite easily.BUT.

There is safety in these beliefs. They are familiar.Am I prepared to lose that safety? Some of these beliefs are, I think, useful. Until I'm sureI can fly, I should avoid jumping off tall buildings.I guess that's useful, but it is also worth examining oncein a while.Anyway, beliefs are important to us.We spend a lot of energy proving them true.Whenever I got overworked and stressed I would turn on theTV, zapping for hours, thus confirming, "I'm lazy".Whenever a man became too close and offered hisfriendship, I always found something wrong with him tokeep him away. Of course, "men are stupid".We can create new, positive beliefs about ourselves.Just reverse the belief you want to change and say it toyourself over and over again, using all your enthusiasmand excitement. Instead of "I'm a failure" use "I'msuccessful", instead of "I'm not good enough" use "I'mgreat".These four topics, Thoughts, Feelings, Choices andBeliefs, are areas where you can really shift your abilityto live life of joyful creativity.Watch your thoughts - keep them positive.Give your feelings space.

Feelings are okay. They add flavor to the soup of life.Get used to making choices - take a chance. We all make mistakes and we can all respond to the resultsLook at your beliefs. Are they unquestionable facts?Or might it be useful to shift some of them?.

The new Volkswagen ad shows two young people dancing and jumping around on the furniture in their apartment while a neighbor below is trying to quiet them by banging on the ceiling with a broom. He climbs the steps and pounds on their door and, although we aren't privy to the exchange, it's obvious he's complaining about the noise. The noisy neighbors roll their eyes and laugh as they close the door. They jump into their Jetta and crank up the car stereo as they drive to the audio equipment store to purchase a 1,000 watt subwoofer. They are animated and laughing as they drive home with their new speaker - the girl is rubbing her hands together in anticipation of the havoc they are about to wreak.

The next scene shows the subwoofer pounding in their living room as they jump up and down and dance ? in their new house. The ad displays their new slogan, "The New Jetta ? It's all grown up ? Sort of."This fictional portrayal would most likely play out in real life with young people continuing to harass the downstairs neighbor with a noisy subwoofer, or more likely, they would install it in their new Jetta and disturb thousands of people wherever they happen to drive. Volkswagen isn't alone in their unconscionable advertising schemes. Manufacturers of 'Boom Car' audio equipment like Sony, Pioneer, Pyle and countless others use slogans like "Shake the living, Wake the dead" and "Disturb, Defy, Disrupt and Ignite" to pander their wares to those who have no consideration for the rights of others. Ford now offers a 'Shaker 1000 Audio System' 1,000 watt subwoofer in the new Mustang.

In addition to squealing tires and loud after-market mufflers people all across America will have the opportunity hear loud nerve-shattering music ? whether they want to or not.Saturn's new commercial shows a young father who talks about "cruising with his boys" with the stereo thumping with two young boys in the back seat.People in communities all over the U.S. and other countries are sick of hearing thumping bass in their homes at all hours. In cities and towns across America, angry citizens are passing stronger noise ordinances to combat this sort of obnoxious behavior. Laws regarding loud mufflers have been on the books for years but, enforcement is either weak on non-existent. In London, the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) released a four part program about the ever-increasing noise problem on our planet called 'The Noisy Ape'.

The first 26 minute segment discusses the epidemic of boom cars and loud mufflers in Richmond Virginia. In another segment, Arline Bronzaft Ph.D. discusses her groundbreaking study on the effect of noise on students in classrooms. Noise pollution is a serious problem and many anti-noise groups have formed on the Internet in response. Noise pollution is ruining the quality of life for millions of people and it's time for our government legislators and law enforcement to take these issues seriously.

Companies that make and install noisy vehicle equipment should be held accountable for their conduct just like the tobacco industry. Second hand noise is just as serious as second hand smoke. Noise is nerve shattering to adults and frightening to little children.More information can be found at these sites:www.NoBoomers.comwww.NoiseOFF.comwww.lowertheboom.orgwww.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/specials/129_noisy_apewww.csmonitor.com/2005/0210/p01s01-ussc.html.

(ARA) - Industry statistics show that almost three times as many people buy used cars as buy new. To help consumers make informed decisions in the process, the experts at CarMax, America's leading used car retailer, have put together a basic list of the things to check when buying a used car. 1. Check the vehicle's safety features. Consider a vehicle with air bags and anti-lock brakes.

Not only will they make a car safer, but insurance companies sometimes give discounts on their rates for cars with these features. 2. Inspect the mileage. Mileage is a good indicator of the vehicle's age, and the average consumer will drive from 12,000 miles to 15,000 miles each year. A late model used car may be more cost-effective and come with many features you may not be able to afford in a new car.

3. Check the mechanical condition of the vehicle. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, have a mechanic you trust check it for you. Fluids, lights, belts, power steering, the charging system, the air conditioner, the engine cooling system, the brakes and the suspension should all be carefully inspected for any defects and wear. And don't forget to test drive the car.

4. Examine the tires. Uneven tread wear can be a sign that the car may need an alignment, or that it has damage to its suspension. Make sure the spare tire is in working condition with no damage or excessive wear. 5.

Watch for frame damage. Seriously damaged cars may be repaired, re-titled and sold in some cases, masking a vehicle that may not be structurally sound. When looking at a used car, check for: -- rust around the fenders and bumpers, around lights, under doors and in wheel wells -- cracks, dents and mismatched body panels Cars that have been previously damaged may be more likely to have mechanical problems, and do not withstand accidents as well as cars that are structurally sound. 6. Check for cosmetic problems.

Common signs of wear and tear in used cars include cigarette burns, dirty upholstery, smoke stains, and paint scratches and chips. 7. Carefully read and understand the terms of any warranty offered on the car. Don't hesitate to ask questions of your salesperson, and be wary of hidden conditions and exclusions that may be in the fine print. A reputable dealer will answer your questions completely and explain the details of the warranty.

8. Check the price. The actual price of the car is only one of many factors that will determine your total price. Don't forget to compare financing rates, warranty costs, trade-in values and processing fees. The different features on the vehicle can also make a price difference.

For example, a car with an automatic transmission is usually going to be slightly higher in price than the same car with a manual transmission. Research the vehicle you are considering, and find out what comparable prices are for similar vehicles in your area. 9. Look for a reputable dealership. Ask around, and talk to previous customers of the dealer to find out what their experiences were like.

A good dealer is more likely to be fair and up-front in price, value and condition of its vehicles, and won't pressure you to buy a vehicle you don't want. Hassles should never be part of buying a used car. Be prepared, and know what you're looking for..

There seems to be the misguided suggestion that e-commerce, buying orselling on the Internet, will very soon surpass regular means of retailsuch as department stores. Nothing could be further from the truth. Thee-commerce industry should check out the number of people that wanderthrough shopping malls on weekends. Is a company like J.C. Penny,Zellers or Wal-Mart closing their doors and meekly walking off into thesunset? No- they are expanding, rebuilding, renovating and opening newoutlets in an attempt to maintain and expand their customer base.Internet marketers must do the same thing.

Even though the electronicmedium is gaining increasing importance, and there are some veryimpressive numbers being put up, there is still a major concern aboutsuch things as transferring credit information and dealing with animpersonal operator attached to some keyboard across the world. Notevery business can have a retail outlet, because some businesses areonly amenable to on-line sales, but those that do have a retail outlet, should not only be involved in directly marketing their products throughtheir web sites, but the sites should be constructed so that buyers whowant to see the product will go their outlets first. Many people want tosee the products in front of them. They want to see them, compare themto other products, perhaps see how look beside other items, especiallyif they are outfitting an office. They may even want to do a littlehaggling which is difficult to do on-line.For example, if you have an Internet site where you sell computers andalso a retail outlet, you must be prepared to deal, not only with thecustomer who is willing to buy on-line, but also the customer who wantsto go and kick the tires-so to speak.

Provided that the techno-babblehas been kept to a minimum, an individual, after checking the web-site,will come to you with his initial request. Now that number that has beenrecorded as a hit on your web site is someone standing in front of you.He wouldn't be there unless the web-site had done an initial sellingjob. He is there to buy. This is where the true selling begins. As Idiscussed in previous articles- this is the opportunity to learnsomething about the customer.

Some of the best sales individuals I knowhave a tremendous capacity to ask questions and then shut up and listen. They know who they are talking to; know what they what, and they havelearned this by listening after asking some questions. You now have that same opportunity While you are finding out what hewants, you must also discover his hot buttons. You must assess hisneeds, but more importantly, listen to what he wants. It has been thecase that quite often a sale will occur, not based on what needs aremet. but on the extras that come with the package. The only way that youcan find out the bells and whistles that will sell your system is bylistening.

Someone can have features similar to IBM, Compaq orPanasonic, but they can sell their own system by emphasizing featuresthat fill a need that the customer never knew he had- his hot buttons. These needs are discovered by asking questions and then listening. Hereare a few cardinal rules: don't be patronizing or condescending- don'tassume that you always know what is best for the customer, or that yoursuperior product knowledge entitles you to decide what is best for him.More importantly, don't try to sell the most expensive item on themarket. This is very short-sighted. It has been shown that an unhappycustomer can affect up to two hundred potential future customers. For example, a store owner was looking for a new cash register. He cameinto our showroom looking at some very sophisticated Point-of- Salesystems.

He was impressed with the flash, bells and whistles. I listenedto his needs. I could have sold him the $4,000.00 piece of equipment, because he wanted it, even though he didn't need it. His requirementswere assessed and he was told that all he needed was a three hundreddollar cash register. It was essentially a cash box that would give hima total sales printout at the end of the day.

When it was explained tohim that his needs were for a simple cash recording system, heappreciated the fact that we had looked beyond his enthusiasm and soldhim an appropriate item. Eight months later, when his business hadexpanded dramatically and he needed an expensive system- where did hego? He came back to us and ended up buying $14,000.00 worth of POSequipment. An initial small commission turned into a very sizeable ordera short time later because the customer had been listened to. Peopleresent being patronized or treated as if they are not aware of their ownneeds. They appreciate your advice but that advice should never bestated as an imperative.

You may get the initial sale because ofpressure tactics but the long term ill-will can result in missing out onsubstantial commissions. There is also another interesting fact: oncesomeone has come to you after checking out your web site, and they havebought from your retail outlet, their next purchase will probably befrom your web-site. This is providing that you have sold them what theyneeded, and not what you wanted them to buy..

(ARA) - Americans are keeping their vehicles longer and driving farther than ever before. Today, the average age of vehicles on the road is greater than nine years and more than 68 percent of vehicles have more than 75,000 miles. As a vehicle's engine ages, its performance decreases and oil starts to break down at a faster rate. Over time, seals begin to deteriorate, gaskets become brittle and oil consumption increases -- all leading to a reduction in engine performance.Treating your high-mileage vehicle with a little TLC and consistently following the 10 rules for high-mileage vehicle maintenance will help ensure it will go the distance. Using premium motor oil specially formulated for higher-mileage cars -- such as Castrol GTX High Mileage Formulation --will also help a higher-mileage car feel young again.Rule #1 -- Make sure you change your oil every three months or 3,000 miles -- whichever comes first.

No exceptions. Think of your engine as the heart of your car and motor oil as the lifeblood of the engine. One can't function without the other, so stay on top of your oil-change schedule.Rule #2 -- Find a good mechanic. If you don't do your own maintenance, find a shop staffed by ASE-certified mechanics (that's the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence). A good mechanic will listen to your questions and explain procedures clearly.Rule #3 -- Have your tire pressure checked at least once a month.

It's the best way to prevent unexpected flats. A service station attendant can quickly and easily perform the check. Also make sure to rotate your tires and check their alignment as part of a regular tune-up (or with every other oil change).Rule #4 -- Pay attention to warning signs. Of course, not every little thump or ping you hear spells disaster. Cars, like people, have their peculiarities, and you are sure to quickly learn what is normal for yours.

With a high-mileage vehicle, however, it's best to check out any symptom --- be it a sound, smell or feeling -- that seems the slightest bit abnormal. Remember: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.Rule #5 -- Pay attention to outward signs. If your car is leaking fluids, it can mean serious trouble. Keep an eye on the conditions of your driveway or regular parking space for stains or spots that can warn you of possible leaks. Castrol's GTX High Mileage Formulation motor oil contains special conditioners that help protect and maintain seals, thereby helping to reduce leakage -- a common problem in older, higher-mileage engines.

Rule #6 -- Schedule regular tune-ups. Even if your high-mileage car seems fine, that's no guarantee it is. Use tune-ups to ensure your car's major components are running smoothly and that they stay that way. Your oil should be changed, tires checked and rotated if necessary, belts checked and replaced, brake lines inspected, spark plugs and air filter checked and replaced, and fuel injector checked. A good way to top off a tune-up is an overall analysis of your car's engine, and undercar, safety and computer systems.Rule #7 -- Prepare your car for the seasons.

If you live in a sunny climate all year round, you can skip this step. For the rest of us, visit the "Ask the Expert" feature at www.castrolusa.com for a checklist of seasonal maintenance practices for your high-mileage vehicle. Preparing your high-mileage car to defend against the elements will lessen its chances of needing repairs and save you money in the long run. Rule #8 -- Check your fluids regularly. It's dangerous for your high-mileage car to get dehydrated, so be sure to keep an eye on its vital fluids.

Simply lift the hood and perform a quick visual check. Use the dipstick to check the oil level; a quick glance at the coolant reservoir will let you know if you need more cooling fluid. Rule #9 -- Store it properly. Storing your vehicle in a dry, temperate location when it is not in use will prevent disastrous wear and tear on both its interior and exterior. Garage your car whenever possible to protect its looks.Rule #10 -- Stay on top of safety features.

Nothing is more important than your car's ability to protect both you and your passengers. Air bags, antilock breaks and any other additional safety features that you may have added to your car should be carefully checked on a regular basis (when your car has a tune-up) to ensure that in the event of an accident, they will perform their vital, lifesaving functions.

You've got a small red ink stain on the seat of your brand new car that won't come out. Now what, replace the whole seat cover for hundreds of dollars? The answer is a new auto site, CarCareValues.com, (CCV). CCV has a search feature that will lead you to answers and local auto companies that have amazing services you didn't even know existed; such as, carpet and seat stain removal, alloy wheel repair, burn, rip, and tear repair, deep scratch removal, paintless dent repair, etc. CCV also has listings for the more mundane; but necessary tire, exhaust, brake work, etc. "I have several thrilled customers every week tell me they didn't know a service like mine existed," said Jim Lofton, creator of CarCareValues.com and owner of a paintless dent removal company in Northern Virginia.

"There is a multi-million dollar subculture of specialty auto reconditioning experts that service car dealers on a regular basis that the general public doesn't know about," said Lofton. So, he created CarCareValues.com, where he could promote his own business along with any type of auto service he could think of. Businesses are listed under headings; like, tires, brakes, appearance, interior, and are also part of a nice search feature that makes it easy for people to find what they need. Each sponsor/business also has up to (3) coupons on their page that they are able to edit from their own computer."It's surprising how many small and even mid-size auto companies don't have a web presence. And just creating a website isn't enough.

If you build it they might not come," said Lofton. CCV will create a web page for auto-related companies for only $100, and list it in the search feature and under logical headings of their choice on the site for only $495 per year. CCV promotes itself heavily in Northern Virginia: online with Yahoo!, Google, etc., and offline on Goss' Garage with Pat Goss, which is produced on a local radio station and TV station. "We're making it easy for customers and auto shops to find each other locally," said Lofton. CCV started in Fairfax County, Northern Virginia and is expanding throughout the region and eventually all of the United States, county by county.

Regional territories for CarCareValues.com are available by licensing agreement.For additional information contact: Jim Lofton, (703) 402-1577.Copyright 2004 CarCareValues.com.CONTACT INFORMATION:Jim LoftonCarCareValues.com(703) 402-1577http://www.carcarevalues.com.

You are prepared to spend an average of $300 - $500 for new sneakers for you vehicle. It's a maintenance item that is not optional and then the salesperson asks you if you want to purchase the Road Hazard warranty."It's ONLY an additional $10 - $20 for each tire," he or she says. So, you're thinking, "Don't my tires come with a warranty already?"Great question! Most tires come with a warranty which covers workmanship and materials. In other words, the tire maufacterer covers things which are in their control, like defects. They are not interested in warranting the condition of the roads or your inability to hit debris. This is where a Road Hazard warranty can save you money and aggravation.

Road Hazard warranties are one of the best values, yet one of the most misunderstood benefits. Let's start off by expalining exactly what is a Road Hazard warranties and how does it save me money? Most Road Hazard warranties are set up to protect you, from paying full price, even if you happen to get a flat or even destroy a tire beyond repair. If you are fortunate enough to have purchased the warranty, you will only pay for the amount of tread that you used prior to the needed replacement. (This is called pro-rated).Here is an example. Let's say your tire is 1/2 way worn at the time of the flat.

With tires averaging $100 each, your replacement cost would only be $50.00. Much better than full price, yes? Definitely - great value.Typically, Road Hazard warranties will cover things like nails, glass, metal, stones etc. and almost anything else that could puncture or damage a tire. Some Road Hazrd packages provide a nationwide coverage, which are great for people who are traveling, or vacationing, because you now have peace of mind knowing that you are protected while away from your local area. In addition, many Road Hazard warranties offer other benefits like free rotations and free balancing (check where you purchase your tires for all the details).

Regular maintenance is the best way to extend the life of your tire and get as many miles as possible for your investment.Next time you are ready to purchase tires, ask your tire dealer for the road hazard warranty. You'll be glad you did.~~~~~~~~ is retired from the automotive industry after 25 years and has created the resource http://www.acarmart.com~~~~~~~~.

What is foundation waterproofing?Waterproofing is Protecting your property foundation ? be it residential or commercial ? from cracks due to natural processes such as water damage, thermal movement, shrinking, settlement and other causes. Think of foundation waterproofing as a long term solution for protection of your property. Did you know that 44% of new homes have leaking basements without 3 years of completion? And the warranty on dry basement on a new home in USA and Canada is only 1 or 2 years? Think of what can happen if you don't pay attention to properly seal your house foundation. It not only causes countless damage to your property it also decreases value of your house, costs money to repair, wastes time, not to mention various health and life hazards. So what is the Solution to this problem? Waterproof your property the right way as you build it! There are many products on the market and it is difficult to choose at times, but not all are the same quality.

The easiest, simplest and smartest way is to apply rubberized liquid membrane. Liquid rubber membranes are elastomeric polymerized coatings made from liquid rubber ? the same quality tough material your car tires are made from. Advantages: They are easiest to apply, quick to dry, cold applied. You can do it by yourself, by using sprayer, roller or trowel. The liquid cures into an elastic rubber coating on the wall, able to fill up eventual cracks in foundation wall because of its flexibility.

They also come with a long warranty and are very cost effective. If you want the best ones you should aim at the ones which are environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-flammable, also VOC compliant, offer superior vapor and water barrier protection, and no priming is required before installation. Disadvantages: Possibility of inconsistency in coverage, but the newest liquid rubber foundation waterproofing membranes will help you to determine the "right" thickness by intensity of color f.e. the Gray Coat All Seasons Formula from Aquasealusa.com blends in with the concrete foundation, so over-spraying is no longer a problem, making it much easier for the applicator to apply. There are of course other products on the market like sheet membranes, cementitous waterproofing, hot tar or bentonite, but they either don't offer such a long warranty, are labor intensive or low quality, or you have to use company employees/certified technicians who are the only ones allowed to apply their product which will cost extra money.

Basically it comes what your needs are and how much money your are willing to invest to protect your property properly. What seems to be cheaper at the beginning can be Very costly later on if you don't do it right the first time. ?
