(ContentDesk) November 9, 2005 -- Vascent, a leading Atlanta-based interactive solutions firm, is teaming up with Moving In The Spirit (MITS), a nationally ranked non-profit dance-based organization serving young people in underserved communities of Atlanta. MITS will now be able to tap Vascent's creative and strategic talent in interactive marketing services to improve their online strategy, IT services, and better compete for grants/awards such as the distinguished Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council Grant. MITS co-founder Dana Lupton first approached Vascent co-founder David Felfoldi after stumbling upon an "Executive Spotlight" article in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The article highlighted Mr. Felfoldi's "extreme hobby" of salsa dancing.
A fellow alumnus of the University of Georgia (UGA), Mrs. Lupton quickly made the decision to contact Mr. Felfoldi to discuss possible partnership opportunities. "I was impressed by the absolute passion Dana shared about dance and the positive things it can do for people," exclaims Mr. Felfoldi.
"I first started dancing ballroom while attending UGA, and quickly saw what it could do for young people in terms of self-esteem and leadership. Dana had taken this very concept and creatively applied it to a population that needed these life-skills the most." MITS serves more than 250 kids ages 3-19 each year from underserved communities in Atlanta with its dynamic dance, life skills development and mentoring programs during out-of-school hours. Last year, 87% of MITS participants were eligible for free- or reduced-lunch programs. During the 2003-04 program year, the average household income for on-site MITS scholarship recipients was $16,546 for a family of four. A number of MITS students are being raised by their grandparents, who have an annual household income of $10,189 with an average family size of 5 members.
MITS recently received a highly competitive $75,000 grant ($25,000 per year for three years) and 12 free spots on WABE from the Metro Atlanta Arts Fund, tying with the Atlanta Boys Choir for the largest grant award. Mr. Felfoldi was invited to share in the awards banquet. We were thrilled to be honored with a 2005 Metro Atlanta Arts Fund Grant. The funds will support the salary of MITS first full-time Director of Development.
As MITS grows and we work to serve more children in Metropolitan Atlanta with our innovative programs, support from sources like the Metro Atlanta Arts Fund and corporate partners like Vascent is key, says Dana Lupton. Vascent and MITS are collaborating on several projects. Vascent is currently providing consultative services for MITS' online marketing strategy. In addition, Vascent is also working with MITS to recruit positive male mentors for the MITS Mentor Program, which provides MITS teens and pre-teens with academic support, exposure to different cultures and ways of life, friendship and guidance. During the 2003-2004 school year, 75% of MITS participants who had a mentor for six months or longer either improved their grades or maintained a straight-A average.
Vascent is proud to have been invited to join MITS in their cause for a positive impact on the Atlanta community. said David Felfoldi. Selling - Blending E-Commerce and Store Front Sales
There seems to be the misguided suggestion that e-commerce, buying orselling on the Internet, will very soon surpass regular means of retailsuch as department stores. Nothing could be further from the truth. Thee-commerce industry should check out the number of people that wanderthrough shopping malls on weekends. Is a company like J.C. Penny,Zellers or Wal-Mart closing their doors and meekly walking off into thesunset? No- they are expanding, rebuilding, renovating and opening newoutlets in an attempt to maintain and expand their customer base.Internet marketers must do the same thing.
Even though the electronicmedium is gaining increasing importance, and there are some veryimpressive numbers being put up, there is still a major concern aboutsuch things as transferring credit information and dealing with animpersonal operator attached to some keyboard across the world. Notevery business can have a retail outlet, because some businesses areonly amenable to on-line sales, but those...

How to Get the Best Fuel Mileage This Summer
Summer has not yet arrived but soon enough, it would already be felt. And when summer arrives, it means fun and a lot of driving to vacation spots for many people. However, with the gas prices skyrocketing, it would not be a surprise to find many people opting to take lesser and shorter trips.
According to the Department of Energy (DOE), the gas price already averages some $2.60 a gallon which is 40 cents greater compared to the prices of just a year ago. To assist motorists and vehicle owners in getting their dollar's worth in gas through a greater mileage, Alexander Karsner who is the new DOE assistance secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy states, "Keeping vehicles properly maintained and driving smart can significantly boost mileage and lower gasoline costs." The Alliance to Save Energy Power $avings' President, Kateri Callahan, adds, "Households paid more than $4000 last year to power their homes and vehicles.
Consumers can cut those...

2007 Mazdaspeed 3 ? To Complete The Sequel
Mazda wanted to deviate from its customary car lineup so it has envisioned a performance car that is psyched to finally perfect the driving feel and experience. Mazda 3 is considered a big hit in the automotive industry. Nonetheless, it lacks speed and performance so Tatsuo Maeda, chief engineer of the automaker targeted said improvements and attached them to the recent member of Mazda clan.
2007 Mazdaspeed 3 boasts the advantage of 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbo unit, same as that of Mazdaspeed 6, which is capable of generating 64 horsepower, equivalent to 264 horses at 5500 rpm and 280 pound-feet of torque at 3000 rpm.
Said performance translates to a 0-to-60 time and a top speed of 149 mph.
Mazda tapped on power. The latter comes on from 2500 rpm and stays sizzling all through the 6750-rpm redline. The linear torque response is analogous to that of a bold V-6 than a turbo four. The slick six-speed manual transmission...
